Miomir Petrović

PhD, Dramaturge, Author, Professor of university

Graduated from Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade (dramaturgy), received master's degree from Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade (theatrology), received PhD degree from the University of Arts in Belgrade (interdisciplinary studies of media and art). Dramaturge of the Atelier 212 Theater in Belgrade (1996-2000), playwright of the National Theater in Belgrade (2001-2004).

Full professor of Aesthetics and Theory of Art at Belgrade Dance Institute (Union-Nikola Tesla University), Creative Writing and Screen Culture at the Higher College of Technology (UAE). Professor of Conflict Resolution and Crisis Communication at the Academy of National Security.

Scientific researcher in the field of narratology (author of 44 papers on the SCI list), author of 19 novels (Prosveta, Geopoetika, Laguna), 6 radio dramas (Grand Prix Italia, 2012) and 3 theoretical monographs. His works have been translated into Macedonian, Russian and English.

Awards: October Award of the City of Belgrade (1996), Laza Kostić Award for the novel House of Salt (2017), Medal of Duke George Stratimirović for his contribution to Serbian culture (2022). Member of the Serbian Literary Society.
