What You Will Learn

In addition to our foundational Interior Design program, Molèn Academy presents Interior Design 2.0—a specialized course designed for individuals who already have prior knowledge in the field of interior design. Whether you’ve completed our basic course, come from an architecture or construction background, or have professional experience, this program is built for you.

Structured as a practical extension of your existing skills, the course focuses on real-world projects, in-depth exercises, and actionable tasks. Over the course of two months in a small group setting, you will master the following modules:

Starting the Design Process

Learn what an interior design project includes, how to analyze a client brief, and how to accurately take on-site measurements. Based on client requirements, you’ll begin developing a project map—from concept to material specifications and furnishing solutions.
Exercise: Basic layout drawing (digital or hand-drawn), moodboard, and client brief analysis.

Technical Drawing

Participants receive guidance and tutorials for creating technical drawings in AutoCAD, enabling them to independently develop their own projects.
Exercise: Digital space layout drawing with visual reference material.
Note: Participants must obtain an available version of AutoCAD (trial or licensed) themselves.

Space Organization

Zoning, workflow, dimensioning, and project documentation development—floor plans, sections, legends, electrical layouts, lighting plans, and material selection.
Exercise: Creation of a detailed technical drawing based on a given topic.

Visual Project Presentation

Basics of 3D modeling in SketchUp—geometry construction rules, working with materials, and lighting setup.
Exercise: Beginning your own space model.

Rendering and Visualization

Using Lumion alongside SketchUp—camera positioning, lighting, and scene setup for presentation.
Exercise: Creation of two key space visualizations.

Post-Production and Presentation

Final render touch-ups, project layout creation, and understanding different visualization approaches (marketing, client presentation, technical documentation).
Exercise: Refinement of existing renders, adding annotations, scale, moodboard, and a title board.

Budget Planning

Introduction to budgeting strategies and cost estimation. Creating bills of quantities and cost estimates using Excel.
Exercise: Preparing a work breakdown table for your project.

Construction Documentation Preparation

How to present your project to contractors and clients—documentation, communication, and understanding site drawings.
Exercise: Simulated project presentation and preparation of execution files.

At the end of the program, participants receive a Molèn Academy Certificate.

Classes in Belgrade are held once a week from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM, at the Molèn Academy premises, over a duration of two and a half months.
To ensure quality and personalized attention, the number of in-person participants is limited to 9 students.

Required equipment: A computer with SketchUp, Lumion, and an available version of AutoCAD installed, for completing assignments and the final project.

Next session: March 2026
